Best practices
- When possible, use the send story feature
- When replying to email, refer to the page by its location in the site, which encourages browsing, rather than pasting the entire long web address (URL). For example, a good link to this story would be: "I found some great info under Home > Help > How to share your favorite content." Tip: a simply cut and paste from the page itself helps you remember where you were.
- Make your page reference itself a hyperlink (described below)
How to make a hyperlink in Outlook:
- Type the text you want as the hyperlink
- Select the text
- Choose INSERT | HYPERLINK...
- Type or paste the web address in the ensuing dialog.
How to make a hyperlink in America Online
- Type the text you want to use as the hyperlink
- Select the text
- Right-click and choose INSERT | HYPERLINK from the pop-up menu
- Type or paste the web address in the ensuing dialog.
