Want to get more Standing Ovations? Nothing beats the meaningful feedback of a trained reviewer. Get it free!

A Standing Ovation is for You!

And so is a Standing Ovation Review. Every District of the Society has Standing Ovation Reviewers who have been trained to find the elements of your performance that lead to standing ovations and tell you about it. They’ll also give, with complete confidentiality, some suggestions on how to make your next show better.

How can you get a Standing Ovation Reviewer at one of your performances?

  • Call your District Vice President for Music and Performance or his designate for the Standing Ovation Program.
  • Let him know the date and location of the performance. He will find a reviewer and send him to the venue.
  • Have a great show! Provide a ticket to the show for the Reviewer and his guest.
  • Arrange to see the reviewer after the show, at a later date, or request an email exchange. The reviewer will give you the straight goods with an emphasis on what’s working.
  • Talk it over with the boys in the chorus and make whatever changes seem right.
  • Remember to invite a reviewer next year to see the progress you’ve made.

Is this for Choruses or for Quartets?

  • Yes. Both quartets and choruses love standing ovations and this program is for them.
  • You might even request that the reviewer at a show provide a separate review for each quartet that performs a reasonable package of songs: your headliner, for sure, and perhaps a chapter quartet that gets to do a set on the show.
  • Single song appearances might not be sufficient for the reviewer to give fair feedback, but you could ask!

Does this really work?

  • Quartets and choruses love this program! Many have had Standing Ovation Reviewers many times and keep going back for more.
  • This program is one of feedback from expert reviewers. All of us can make good use of expert feedback!

How do we get started?

  • It may not be too late to get a Standing Ovation Reviewer to your next show. Call or email your District Vice President of Music and Performance right away!
